About

Experienced communicator living at the crossroads of the written word and technology.

I’ve spent my entire career in the legal industry, learning my attorneys’ practices and finding the right path for their content, whether traditional print media or digital advertising. With a background in literature and creative writing, I love to solve problems by looking at tailored solutions from different angles. Being in smaller firm settings has afforded me the opportunity to really dig into the firm’s culture and strategy while being able to hone these skills and form new ones.

Technology has played a huge role in my career, from project management to automation. I have over a decade of experience building WordPress blogs, both internal and external. I’m known for setting processes and streamlining tasks and projects, utilizing both current internal technology or building new systems. And I’ve also built digital advertising programs: from selling the concept to benchmarking, data tracking and interpretation, to reporting and training on how to use that data.

Outside of marcomm & tech, you’ll find me managing RFPs, designing graphics for campaigns, helping associates with their yearly business development plans, training on social media topics, writing new bios, sending email campaigns, and working on any areas where I can be useful. I enjoy being part of a team and serving a bigger purpose.

That’s the “day job.” 🙂 Among other titles, I’m president-elect of the Legal Marketing Association Midwest Region. “Mom” to precocious children, ages 4 & 6 (we’re doing online learning this year). Not sure what my dogs would call me, but their names are Olive (Staffy) and Roxy (Beagle/Lab). I’m a diehard fiction reader. Horror movie watcher. Blogger, storyteller, handwriter (actual pens, fountain pens, fancy paper).
